While many scammers are fairly easy to spot, others are more cunning.
One trick often employed is to
clone a legitimate company, perhaps a broker for example, and use forums and social media to push a website that may be identical to the legitimate website and will include the correct address, registration and regulation details, everything you would want to see. The only difference will be that when you click a link you are directed somewhere else entirely. Sometimes there may be a tiny difference in the website domain- .co instead of .com, a hyphen in the company name, or slightly different spelling.
